So that's me (Alicia) peeking out from behind my hubby, Stephen. Together we, along with our two babies (of the four legged kind), make up the Chafee Tribe! The other two members of our family are our adorable pit bull named Lettie and our crazy kitten named Mia. Anyway, I am starting this blog in hopes of cataloging our Chafee Tribe adventures. Stephen and I just got married (11/5/11), bought a house, a truck, and adopted both of our babies from
Richmond Animal League all in one year! It's been crazy already but it's bound to get crazier as we update our house, Stephen builds his drift car (yes I said drift), and we try to make some time for each other and to have as much fun as we can along the way.

This is Lettie. She is a brown and white pit bull with the warmest brown eyes you have ever seen. She was adopted by Stephen and me in June 2011 and has lived with us happily ever since. She loves long walks around the neighborhood, wearing colorful bandanas, and using her long tongue to lick you as much as she can. She can't catch a ball if her life depended on it but she sure is the cutest dog we've ever seen! She has many nicknames including Stinky Pit (although she isn't stinky at all, I just like saying it), Lettie Puppy, Jigga Butt (her whole backside jiggles when she's happy), and Jiggles. Lettie will be joining us on many of our adventures and will letting you know about as many dog-friendly places in Virginia and beyond that we can find!

Mia is the newest addition to our household. She decided to adopt us as her parents in December 2011. She has a ton of energy most of the time but when she is tired she can be found cuddling with mom or dad. She loves to get into everything and anything which can often leave mom frustrated but her cuteness lets her get away with most of it.
